Wingate - Gregory Forte was born on June 12, 1956 to the late Daniel and Yancey Belle Liles Forte. He attended public school in Wadesboro, NC and later joined United States Army. Prior to taking an early retirement, he worked at Construction and Supply and drove a truck.
On Thursday, February 1, 2018 at approximately, 6:30pm, at Carolinas Medical Center Pineville, he entered into eternal rest.
On February 3, 1993, he and Denise Charmaine Deas were united in Holy Matrimony.
He leaves behind his wife, Denise of the home in Wingate; two sons, Aresenio Deas of Pageland, SC and Davron Rorie of Raleigh, NC; four grandchildren, Ksen,Kolby, Camille and Cameron Deas; seven sisters, Mary Durant, Carrie Lee (Teddy) and Ida Murell all of Broklyn, NY, Bessie Wilson (Shaky) and Fairy Gaddy both of Lilesville, Johnsie Peace and Rosa Harris of Wadesboro, NC; four brothers, Clarence Forte (Tonya) of Morven, William Forte (Annie), James Forte (Gloria) and Daniel Jr. Forte all of Wadesboro; sisters-in-law, Juanita Forte of Wadesboro, NC and Leticia Deas and Brundeana Beauford (Thomas) both of St. Stephens; brothers-in-law, Anthony Deas of St. Stephens and Lorenzo Squire of Bridgeport, CT and a host of nieces and nephews and their families.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Walter Forte.
The family would like to say a special thanks to Ashley Wilson, ReRe Bennett and Patty for their love and support.
There will be a memorial service at 1:00pm Monday, February 5, 2018 in the Chapel of Leavitt Funeral Home.
