Lilesville - Mr. Alex Benjamin Hudson, known by is family and friends as 'Doodle' or 'Little Zeke' went to be the Lord on Saturday, September 21, 2019 at the home of his daughter. Funeral services will be 3:00pm Tuesday, September 24, 2019 in the Chapel of Leavitt Funeral Home with Rev. Barry Gerald officiating. Interment will follow in Anson Memorial Park. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service on Tuesday and other times at the home of his daughter. He was born November 30, 1942 in Anson Caounty, NC a son of the late Benjamin Ingram Hudson and the late Madie 'Bride' Hildreth Hudson. He was retired from W.R. Bonsal in Lilesville with more than 30 years of service. Surviving are his daughters, Cynthia Kirby and husband, Pat of Lilesville and Lisa Hudson and Tammy Laxton both of Rockingham; his grandchildren, Robert Kirby, Alexis Kirby and Tiffany Horne; 5 great-grandchildren and his sisters, Louise Carpenter and Sue Boyer and husband, Bud both of Wadesboro. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Wayne Hudson. The family wishes to thank the staff of Richmond County/Anson Community Hospice for the manner in which they cared for him in his last days.
