Davidson Perkins Jr., 63 of Wadesboro, N.C. was born on February 26, 1957, to the late Davidson Perkins, Sr. and Margie (Perkins) Steadman. He departed this life on Sunday, February 21, 2021. He was united in Holy Matrimony on July 9th, 1988 to his former wife Kathleen (Tina) Perkins. He accepted Christ as his personal Savior on September 12, 1993, baptized on October 16, 1993, St.Paul Baptist Church by Pastor Isaac Melton. After relocating to Augusta, Ga he joined Gardner Grove Baptist Church, Pastor Rufus Copeland under Christian experiences January 26, 2003 where he serviced as a Church usher until returning to his hometown in Wadesboro, N.C. He worked at East Central Regional Hospital (Gracewood Campus), Augusta, Ga.for 15 years before his health began to compromise his position. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Roger Smith, Johnny Cole, Chris Luckey, Darryl Steadman, one sister in law Hazel Smith and two nephews Dion and Rodney Smith. He leaves to cherish his memories a devoted friend and former wife of twenty-five years Kathleen Perkins, two sons Marcus (Samantha) Hill of Atlanta, Ga., Rodney (Tammy) Rorie, three daughters Anesia (Robert) Redfearn of Wadesboro,N.C, Chasity (Troy) Mallory of Savannah, Ga., Latoya Perkins of S.C., one brother Richard Streater, one sister Ethel(Johnny) Kennedy, devoted cousin James (June bug) Smith, seventeen grandchildren, one great-granddaughter and one great-grandson four brother-in-laws Tommy (Lesia) Hill of Augusta, Ga, Larry Hill of Tallahassee, Fla, James (Yvette) Hill of Gainesville, Fla, Johnny (Ethel) Kennedy of Trinity, NC, two sisters in law Carolyn (Stanley) Barnes of Tallahassee, Fla, Mary Steadman of Alabama, his mother in law Margaret (Mom) Hill, a special friend of the family Sovenia Bowman and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. He lived a life of love, joy, and laughter. Everyone that knew him knew he could make an unhappy situation become a blessed situation of joy, laughter, and love. There will be a memorial service at 2:00 pm Friday, March 5, 2021, in the Chapel of Leavitt Funeral Home. The family will greet friends following the service.,
