Freddy Carpenter

Lilesville - Mr. Freddy Carpenter, 60, died Saturday, September 6, 2014, as a result of an automobile accident. Funeral services will be 4:00PM Tuesday at Leavitt Funeral Home with Rev. Randy Swaringen officiating. Interment will follow in Bethel Cemetery. The family will greet friends prior to the service beginning at 3:00PM. Freddy was born in Anson County on October 18, 1953, a son of the late Lester Washington and Lula Jane Harrington Carpenter. Freddy was a self-employed mechanic servicing all types of farm equipment, tractors and lawnmowers. Survivors include his son, Freddy Carpenter, Jr. and his fianc, Jennifer of Morven; a daughter, Kimberly Carpenter of Albemarle; and five grandchildren, Cody Carpenter, Hannah Carpenter, Summer Hartsell, Dylan Jones, and Kyleigh Jackson. Also surviving are his brothers and sisters, Bobby Carpenter of Wadesboro, Lib Simpson of Pooler, GA, Frank Carpenter, Dan Carpenter, Midge Kilbane, Jean Pruitt and Harvey Carpenter all of Lilesville. One sister, Marlene Morris, preceded him in death.
