LILESVILLE Mr. Roy Thomas "Tommy" Morton, 69, died Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at Novant Presbyterian Hospital in Charlotte. Funeral services will be 11:00am Saturday, October 6, 2018 in the Chapel of Leavitt Funeral Home with Rev. Teddy Lawson and Rev. Randy Swaringen officiating. Interment will follow in Fall Branch Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 6:00pm until 8:00pm Friday, October 5, 2018 at the funeral home and other times at the home of his son, Dennis Miller on HWY 109 South in Wadesboro. Tommy was born December 7, 1948 in Anson County, NC a son of the late Floyd Morton and the late Addie Bumgarner Morton. He was a truck driver for 48 years and attended Lilesville Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife of 34 years, Teresa Bledsoe Morton; his sons, Rodney Morton (Sharon) of Lilesville, Randy Morton of Lilesville, Kevin Morton (Sandra) of Norwood, Jason Miller (Monica) of Lilesville and Dennis Miller of Wadesboro; his grandchildren, Dustin Morton (Nikki Griffin), Kolby Morton, Seth Morton, Luke Morton, Branson Miller, Lucy Miller and Leslie Wright; his great-grandchildren, Rosie Morton, Maddie Wright, Abbie Wright, Skylar Boone and Eason Griffin; his sisters, Barbara Tranthem (Bill) of Clyde, Doris Mauldin of Norwood and Sue McElroy of Lilesville and his sister-in-law, Martha Morton of Lilesville. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother and sister, Wayne Morton and Helen Morton.
