Wanda Kay Deese Carpenter

Wadesboro – Mrs. Wanda Kay Deese Carpenter, age 59, died Thursday, August 6, 2020 while a patient in FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital. Funeral services will be 3:00PM Sunday at Leavitt Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Anson Memorial Park. The family will greet friends at the funeral home beginning at 2:00PM prior to the service. Wanda was born in Anson County on August 14, 1960. Her mother was Virginia Mae Deese Tyson. She was a longtime employee of Medical Specialties. She leaves to cherish her memory her husband of almost 45 years, Michal R. Carpenter of the home; two sons, Kevin Carpenter of Marshville and Scott Carpenter of Ansonville; a daughter, Tina Carpenter Williams of the Burnsville community; six grandchildren, Dana Williams (Nicholas), Cody Williams, Megan Carpenter, Briana Carpenter, Amy Carpenter, and Makayla Carpenter; and two great-grandchildren, Annaleigh Williams and Laken Sawyer White. Also surviving are two brothers, Tim Tyson (Christy) and Daryl Tyson; and a very special friend, Pat Hildreth.
