Allen Wayne Jackson

Mr. Allen Wayne Jackson, 71, of Belmont and formerly of Anson County, died Wednesday, August 3, 2011, at his home. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 6, 2011, in the Chapel of Leavitt Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Hill officiating. Interment will follow in Morven Cemetery. The family will greet friends on Saturday for one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. He was born March 5, 1940, in Anson County, N.C., a son of the late James D. Jackson and the late Margie Moore Jackson Grooms. He had worked as an insurance salesman and with General Piping. Surviving are his daughters and sons-in-law, Laurie Ann Callahan and Tim Snyder of Stanley, N.C., and Sherry and Mitchell Ratliff of Lilesville; his grandchildren, Rebecca, Joshua and Casey Callahan, Will, Carly, and Levi Ratliff; and his brother, Jack Jackson of Murrell's Inlet.
