Anne Lee Ramsey

MARSHVILLE - With heavy hearts we share that Mrs. Anne Lee Ramsey, 88, passed away peacefully in her home on the morning of October 13, 2025.

Services will be 11:00 AM, Friday, October 17, 2025 by the graveside in Wingate Cemetery.

The family will greet friends following the service.

Anne was born May 22, 1937 in Anson County, NC and was a daughter of the late Wayne Lee and Carrie Estelle Ross Lee . She worked with Union County Public schools as a teachers assistant at Wingate Elementary School.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband Ronald Treadway Ramsey and by her daughter and son-in-law Beth and Scott Watts.

Surviving are her daughters and sons-in-law, Lesa and Johnie Walton of Rocky Mount, NC and Ronda and Dennis Austin of Marshville, NC; her grandchildren Justin Austin and wife Kelly of Marshville, NC, Garrett Austin and wife Ashleigh of Marshville, NC, Wriston Austin and wife Ashley of Peachland, NC, and John Ronald Walton and wife Brittany of Rocky Mount, NC; her great grandchildren Hannah, Cali, Lily, and Maci Austin all of Marshville, NC, Helen, Owen and Elijah Austin all of Peachland, NC and Eleanor Walton of Rocky Mount, NC; her sister Patsy McLaurin and nephew Lee McLaurin and her brother Bobby Lee and wife Nancy.

She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law and friends for which she loved dearly. And last, but not least, the one and only son, Treadway Ramsey, her beloved four-legged friend.

Anne will be remembered by her family and friends as a shepherd who guided, nurtured and protected us throughout the many years of her life. We also celebrate her life showing us God’s guidance, goodness and mercy teaching us to follow Him all the days of our lives so we could all live in His house one day.
