On Sunday, May 10, 2020, Annette Pickett Lilly, went to be with her Lord and Savior at Atrium Health Anson in Wadesboro, NC. She was born August 26, 1967 in Anson County, NC and was a daughter of the late Rosa Mae Leak Pickett and the late Roosevelt “Bill” Smith. Annette was a 1985 graduate of Bowman High School. She was employed with Triangle Brick in Wadesboro for 15 years and prior to that she worked at Premier Fibers in Ansonville for 6 years. She enjoyed dancing and spending time with her family. A very big football fan, she loved the Washington Redskins. Left to cherish her memories are her husband of 26 years, Clinton Lilly; her sons, Melvin A. Lilly (Jessica) of Seattle, WA and Timothy D. Lilly (Heather) of Lilesville, NC; her step-son, Brandon Boggan (LaToya) of Wadesboro, NC; her grandchildren, Melvin A. Lilly, Jr., Lamar Lilly, Elijah Lilly, Edean Decoteau and Malyiah Elizabeth Annette Lilly; her step-grandson, Brandon Boggan, Jr.; her sisters and brothers, Minnie P. Spencer of Charlotte, NC, Eula M. West (Kenny), Debby P. Wright (Albert), Rosa L. Rorie (Walter), Solomon Pickett (Virginia), Robert Pickett (Janice) all of Lilesville and Freddie Pickett (Carolyn) of Wadesboro, NC; her sisters-in-law, Bonita Davis of Morven, NC, Brenda Ratliff (Larry) of Wadesboro, NC, Tammy Douglas (Shanell) of Charlotte, NC and Sherri Lillie of Lilesville, NC; her brother-in-law, Melvin Lilly of Charlotte, NC; a very special friend, Regina Thomas of High Point, NC; her aunt, Ethel Louise Smith of Salisbury, NC; and also a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, John David Pickett. Annette was loved and will be greatly missed for her outgoing and energetic personality. Funeral services will be private and burial will be in Bessie Chapel AME Zion Church Cemetery in Lilesville. Due to COVID 19 restrictions funeral services will be private and there will be no public viewing.
