Annie Ruth Kelly Marsh

WADESBORO - Mrs. Annie Ruth Kelly Marsh, 94, died peacefully Friday, September 2, 2011 at Lillie Bennett Nursing Center in Wadesboro. There will be a service to celebrate her life at 3:00pm Tuesday, September 6, 2011 in the Chapel of Leavitt Funeral Home with Ronnie Sullivan officiating. Interment will follow in Anson Memorial Park. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home and other times at the home. Annie Ruth was born in Anson County, NC January 15, 1917 a daughter of the late James Walter Kelly and Frances Ann Atkinson Kelly. She retired from a long career with B.C. Moore and Son's Department Stores and later worked with Belk in Wadesboro following her retirement. Her husband, Herman Flake Marsh, her son Robert Flake Marsh and her sisters and brother, Pauline Watts, Nannie Lee Rayfield and Charles Kelly preceded her in death. Surviving are daughter-in-law, Dorothy Pope Marsh of Wadesboro; her grandsons, Rob Marsh and Marty Marsh and wife, Pam both of Wadesboro; her great-grandchildren, Travis and Lindsey Marsh both of Wadesboro and her sisters, Christine Allen of Columbus, GA, Alise Allen of Wadesboro, Mary Virginia Williams of Flint, TX and Margaret Leach of Burlington.
