WADESBORO – On Saturday, July 26, 2025, Mrs. Beatrice McLain Brower, 94, passed away peacefully at Hospice Haven in Rockingham.
There will be a graveside service at 11:00 AM, Saturday, August 9, 2025, at Anson Memorial Park with Mr. Ken Caulder officiating.
Bea was born July 19, 1931, in Anson County, NC and was a daughter of the late Alcie Lee McLain and the late Sallie Anna Ray McLain. She worked for many years with Little Cotton Manufacturing and in later years, she worked in retail.
Those who are left to cherish her memory are her children, Diane “Dee” Keziah of Mint Hill, Janet Ross of Polkton, Mike Brower (Cheryl) of Cason Old Field, Robin Yorty (Bill) of N. Huntingdon, PA, and Kenny Brower (Glenda Lisk) of Wadesboro; her grandchildren, Wendy Keziah of Mint Hill, Chris Burr and Kevin Burr (Wendy) both of Wadesboro, Lori Haney (Henry) of Marshville, Erin Oates (Nick) of Rock Hill, SC, Kimberly Higginbotham (Brian) of Charlottesville, VA, Devon Campbell of Hempfield, PA, Dustin Campbell of Belle Vernon, PA, Ricky George (Amber) of Lilesville, Brycen Brower of Wadesboro, Beth Flowers (William) of Society Hill, SC, and Erica Rayfield (Derek) of Chesterfield, SC; 17 great-grandchildren; her brother, Leonard McLain of Cheraw, SC; her sister-in-law, Peggy Brower of Forest City; her brother-in-law, Fred Brower of Mint Hill; and her roommate and friend at Wadesboro Health and Rehab, Wilma Dennis of Wadesboro.
Bea’s family is most grateful to the staff of Wadesboro Health and Rehab for all they have done for her while she was in their care and most recently, special thanks to Anson Community Hospice and Richmond County Hospice Haven for the exemplary care they provided for her.
