Wadesboro - Mr. Julian Benjamin "Ben" Williams, 75, died Friday, March 2, 2018 at Meadowview Terrace Assisted Living in Wadesboro. Funeral services will be 11:00am Tuesday, March 6, 2018 in the Chapel of Leavitt Funeral Home with Rev. Teddy Lawson officiating.Interment will follow in Anson Memorial Park. The family will greet friends from 6:00pm until 8:00pm Monday at the funeral home. Ben was born December 7, 1942 in Anson County, NC a son of the late William Pinkston Williams, Sr. and the late Lela Catherine Ricketts Williams. He was a 1961 graduate of Anson High School and worked for 28 years with Merita Bread Company as a route salesman. He was a member of Faith Baptist Church and helped to organize Victory Baptist Church both in Lilesville. He was ordained as a deacon in 1977 and was dedicated serving Christ by helping others. Surviving are his wife of nearly 50 years, Cathy Edwards Williams; his daughters and their families, Sally and Eric Partin and daughter, Scarlett of Dallas, GA and Catherine and Matt Walker and their daughter, Leighla of Lilesville; his brothers and sisters-in-law, Herman and Eleanor Williams of Hamlet, William "Bill" Williams, Jr. of Fayetteville, Robert and Phyllis Williams of Walkertown, Rev. Dr. Wayne and Ruth Williams of McBee, SC and Mary Ellen Williams of Concrod; his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Marshall "Pro" and Hilda Edwards of York, SC and his nieces and nephews and their families. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother and sister, James Williams and Kathleen Napper. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Children and Youth Ministries of Faith Baptist Church, 3560 Stanback Ferry Ice Plant Rd., Wadesboro, NC 28170 or Lilesville Baptist Church, P.O.
