Wadesboro- Mr. Berkeley Andrew “Andy” Powell, 55, died Friday, March 19, 2021. Funeral services will be private. Andy was born in Daytona Beach, FL on February 18, 1966 a son of Patricia “Pat” Murphy Hurst and Berkeley “Buck” Hamilton Powell. He was a lifelong truck driver, having worked with Howard Lisk Trucking and later retiring at Columbus McKinnon Corp in Wadesboro. Surviving are his wife of 35 years, Tammy Trexler Powell of the home; his son, Matt (Jamie) Powell of Wadesboro; his grandchildren, Asher Matthew Powell, Ava Lee Jeanette Powell and Atlas James Powell; his mother, Patricia “Pat” Murphy Hurst of New Smyrna Beach, FL; his father, Berkeley “Buck” (Nina) Powell of Edgewater, FL; his brother and sisters, Michael Powell, Angie Lilly and Melissa Moore all of Florida; his mother-in-law, Katie Trexler (Steve) Ennis of Wadesboro; and beloved pets, Zero and Sally Rabbit.
