In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters and brothers, Alma Cox, Charles Cox, Roy Cox, Mary Frances Taylor, Ed Cox, Sarah Long and Lewis Cox; by her son-in-law, Tim Stone; by her sister-in-law, Dot Marsh (Flake) and by George Clark Napier, father of her sons.

The family is most grateful to Hospice of Union County for the exceptional way they cared for Betty , especially, Mandy Horne and Shevon Melton, and to her niece, Patricia Conklin, for all she did to support her and the family during her time of declining health.

The family suggests memorials be made to Griffin Cemetery Fund, c/o Oakdale Baptist Church, 3304 NC 218, Polkton, NC 28135.

Betty’s family, although heartbroken for their loss, rejoices in knowing she has seen her Savior face to face and she now has a new and glorified body.
