Betty Williams Bowers

Peachland – Mrs. Betty Williams Bowers, 89, went home to be with her Lord on Saturday, December 12, 2020, while a resident at Autumn Care of Marshville. Due to Covid-19, the family has chosen to hold their services privately for Betty. Your understanding is greatly appreciated. Betty was born in Anson County on July 1, 1931, a daughter of the late Lloyd and Lula Gulledge Williams. She was a wonderful mother and outstanding volunteer in both her church and community. She would assist her husband, Bob, at Bowers Service on the square of Peachland from time to time but likely enjoyed talking and visiting with the customers more than “working”! Survivors include her daughter, Sharon B. Stanley of Breckenridge, CO; a brother, Benjamin Lloyd Williams of Cary; a sister, Aileen Austin of Greensboro; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Bob Bowers and her sister, Billie Horne.
