On Wednesday, April 8, 2026, Ms. Bobbie Jean Clark, 65, peacefully transitioned to her heavenly home with her family gathered around her at Atrium Health Anson. Bobbie was born on May 29, 1960 in Wadesboro, North Carolina and was the daughter of the late Thomas Crawford and Lossie Clark. She attended Anson County Public Schools and for the majority of her life, she was a homemaker.

Bobbie was a Godfearing woman and at an early age, Bobbie accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior at Pleasant Hill AME Zion Church. She later became a faithful member of New Life Fellowship Church under the leadership of General Overseer Jakeem Bowman in 2023 where she especially enjoyed hearing the singing and hearing the Word. 

Bobbie enjoyed her car rides to the store and doctor visits with both her grandsons, Richard and Travious. Bobbie also enjoyed watching tv, eating sweets, and other hobbies daily. For those who knew her dearly knew her special saying, “I know that’s right!” with anything she agreed with. Bobbie was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers, Alfonso Crawford and David Clark and her sister, Calvin Ann Steele Gatewood, & a brother-in-love, James Frank Gatewood.

She leaves behind to cherish her memories, her daughters; Deacon LaSonya Clark, Carrie (Markus) Clark; Four Grandchildren; Richard Tyson Jr, LaTravious Tyson, Zachariah Little and Shun Little; two sisters, Ida Mae (David) Leak and Francis Tillman; Goddaughter, Janet (Richard Lee) Richardson; a special friend, Michael Tillman; a special niece, Letitia (Shawn) Simms; a special cousin, Mary Lou Neal and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends.

A special thank you to the following:; a special sister, Ida Mae Leak, Alexis Stuckey (HealthKeepers), Letitia Simms (Caretaker), The Price Family (Harvest), Lindsey Chapel (FCOG), Neighborhood Nursing Staff, Atrium Health Staff, Stacy Moore and staff, Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church, and General Overseer Jakeem Bowman along with the New Life Fellowship Church Family.

Funeral services will be 2:30 PM, Sunday, April 12, 2026 at New Life Fellowship Church, 105 Cheraw, St., Bennettsville, SC. Interment will follow in Pleasant Hill AME Zion Church Cemetery, Wadesboro.

Public viewing will be from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM, Saturday, April 11, 2026 at Leavitt Funeral Home.

The family is gathering at the home of her daughter, 110 Dogwood Street in Wadesboro.
