Bobby Smith

Mr. Bobby Smith, son of the late Lonzo Chambers and Mattie Smith Liles was born on November 30, 1948 in Anson County, NC. He entered into eternal rest on Thursday, January 10, 2019 at Hospice of Union County in Monroe. Bobby was united in Holy Matrimony to Joann Preston Smith in Anson County on May 5, 2001. He received his formal education in Anson County Schools. He worked for Rebel Lumber in Marshville for 26 years and for Anson Crisis Ministry for 5 years. Left to cherish his loving memories are his wife, Joann Preston Smith of the home; his children, Sherry Diane McNair, Lucianne Smith and Bobby Smith, Jr., Freda Marie Smith; his step-sons, Leo Liles, Jr. and Lamar Liles; his brother, Lee Liles; his sisters, Sharon Crawford (James), Wendy Boggan (Edward), Delois Liles and Dorothy Crawford; and his sister-in-law, Margie Johnson; 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; along with many other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-father, Lee Morton Liles and 3 brothers. Funeral services will be 1:00PM Monday, January 14, 2019, at Leavitt Funeral Home.
