Brenda enjoyed the simple things in life, working and going out to eat with her family. She was also a very supportive pastor's wife to her late husband, Rev. John Odell "Johnny" Wilson.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her grandson, Jonathon Bennett Kelly, and by her brothers and sister, Keith Harward, Donnnie Harward, and Patsy Gregory.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Red Hill Baptist Church Brotherhood, c/o Stephanie Maner, P.O. Box 207, Ansonville, NC 28007.
