Carol Jean Wild Boles

WADESBORO - Carol Jean Boles, 69, of Wadesboro and formerly of Albemarle, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 18, 2023 while being cared for at Anson Rehab and Health Nursing Home in Wadesboro, NC.

Jean was born July 24, 1953 in Mastic Beach, NY to Herbert and Violet Ruth Wild. When the family moved upstate, Jean attended school in her hometown of Cincinnatus, NY.  Jean lived a full life all over the country, eventually settling in North Carolina.

 Known for her kindness and compassion, Jean exemplified Christ’s love to all she met. Jean diligently kept up the tradition of days gone by with her multiple pen pals who she maintained connection with for years.  She also enjoyed writing poetry, mostly about her relationship with the Lord, whom she loved dearly.  Jean crocheted blankets for those she loved, praying over the recipient with each stitch.  To have a blanket by Jean was to be loved by her.

Left to cherish her memories are her siblings: Walter (Barbara), Arthur (Geri), Dennis (Barbara), Susan (Ronald) Shippey, Rick, and Darlene Bean; granddaughter, Corrina Burk; 3 great grandchildren, and family, additionally, as close as any sister, family friend, Wilda Almond.

In addition to her parents, Jean was predeceased by her husbands; daughter, LeAnn Young; brother, John Wild; and sister, Joan Childs.  

The inurnment and services will be in her hometown of Cincinnatus, NY.
