Carl Tillman

WADESBORO - Carl Tillman, beloved brother, uncle, father, and friend departed this life on July 16, 2026, at Pine Crest Health and Rehabilitation in Charlotte, North Carolina. Carl was born on April 20, 1955, in Wadesboro, North Carolina to the late Earl and Flossie Tillman.

He attended West Deep Creek School and later graduated from Bowman High School in 1974.

Throughout his working years, Carl was employed by Hornwood, Anson County Schools, and Rayfield Meat Center. However, his longest tenure was with Cookson/Premiere Fibers in Ansonville, North Carolina, where he was a dedicated employee for nearly fifteen years.

Carl was preceded in death by his brother, William Earl Tillman.

He leaves to cherish his memory his sisters, Betty Spencer of Wadesboro, North Carolina, and Earlene Tillman of Monroe, North Carolina; his brother Everett Tillman of Wadesboro, North Carolina; two children-LaToya and Carlton Tillman; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and dear friends.

Carl will be remembered for his strong work ethic, kind heart and unwavering love for his family and friends. He enjoyed spending time with those he loved and found joy in life’s simple pleasures. He especially enjoyed watching Westerns, cooking, and cleaning his truck. 

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Saturday, July 25, 20026 in the Chapel of Leavitt Funeral Home.

Public viewing will be from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM, Friday, July 24, 2026 at the funeral home.
