Casey Lynn Tucker

WADESBORO - On Friday, February 4, 2022, Casey Lynn Tucker, 31, a brave and courageous young lady who lived fiercely with Cystic Fibrosis, fought the battle hard and became victorious, and is now able to breathe new and celestial air in Heaven.

Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Thursday, February 10, 2022, in the Chapel of Leavitt Funeral Home with Rev. Sam Abee and Mr. Ken Caulder officiating. Interment will follow in Anson Memorial Park.

The family will greet friends from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm Wednesday, February 9, 2022, at Leavitt Funeral Home.

Casey's families are gathering at the homes of both of her grandparents, Linda and Wayne Kelly in Morven and Lib Tucker in the Cason's Old Field Community of Morven.

Casey was born May 2, 1990, in Anson County, NC and was a daughter of Connie Jacobs Tucker and Kenneth Bittle Tucker, Jr. She was preceded by her sister, Katie Lynn Tucker, and by her grandfathers, Kenneth Tucker and Johnny Jacobs.

She was a 2008 graduate of Anson High School and received an Associate Degree in Medical Assistant from South Piedmont Community College. She attended the Wadesboro Church of God.

Those left to cherish her memory are her mother, Connie Tucker of Wadesboro; her father, Ken Tucker (Teesha Smith) of Morven; her grandparents, Lib Tucker and Linda and Wayne Kelly all of Morven; her uncles and aunts, Steven and Norma Jean Kelly and Natalie and Robert Williams of Morven, Wayne and Sharon Jacobs of Mt. Gilead, Crystal and Jeremy Brooks of Stanfield and Becky Burr of Columbia, SC; her cousins, all of whom she adored, Chris Kelly, Timothy Kelly, Milea Gulledge and husband, Scott, Franklin Jones and wife, Ashley, Brianna Williams, Carver Williams, Alivia Williams, Cheyenne Jacobs, Rylee Burr, Sunee Burr, Barrett Brooks and Hayden Brooks; her “little cousins”, Emma, Aubrey, Wyatt and Jackson; special friends, Jessica Carpenter and Ashley Hardison and Jessica’s children, Garrett and Gracie, who Casey referred to as her babies.

Casey’s family is very grateful for the overwhelming outpouring of love and concern for her not only in recent weeks but during her entire life and journey with Cystic Fibrosis. Casey loved all of her family and friends was able to make her journey courageously because of that. She was the recipient of a double lung transplant on September 12, 2019, and the years after that have been remarkable ones for her and her family. She was blessed!

She will be remembered for her love of the beach and traveling. She was always on the go, if anyone was going somewhere, she was always ready to join in the trip. Family time and Christmas were among her favorite times and she always enjoyed buying gifts for her family and friends at Christmas.

Many lives have been touched by her strong will, determination and inspiration in the way she lived her life. Casey was a true fighter and everyone’s hero!

In lieu of flowers and in appreciation for the work they do, the family requests memorials be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Western Carolina Chapter, 4600 Park Rd Ste 100, Charlotte, NC 28209-0201.
