WADESBORO – On Sunday, May 11, 2025, Mr. Charles Edward “Chuck” Kiser, Jr., 70, passed away peacefully at Anson Health and Rehab in Wadesboro.
There will be a memorial service at 11:00 AM, Friday, May 30, 2025, in the Chapel of Leavitt Funeral Home with Rev. Stacey Lundy officiating. Interment will be private in Eastview Cemetery.
Chuck was born May 23, 1954, in Anson County, NC and was the son of the late Charles Edward Kiser and the late Mary Agnes Allen Kiser. He was a graduate of Bowman High School. He graduated from Wingate College with an Associate of Arts degree and earned a bachelor's degree from Catawba College.
He was a long-time employee of Anson County, having served as a magistrate, dispatcher with Anson County Sheriff's Office and retiring from Anson County Department of Social Services.
Chuck was a life-long member of First United Methodist Church in Wadesboro where he sang in the choir.
He was a faithful supporter of the Anson Bearcat Marching Band and looked forward to spending time and sharing meals at Papa Joes in Wadesboro.
He is survived by his cousins, Clark Allen of Brevard, David Allen of Raleigh, Patrick Allen of Winterville and Elizabeth Allen Scheidecker of Sandwich, IL and dear friends.
The family is grateful to Denise Beachum, a dear friend of Chuck’s mother Mary. Denise was committed in assisting Chuck through the last several years of his life.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church, 118 E. Morgan St., Wadesboro, NC 28170.
