Charles Daniel Winfree

Wadesboro - On Thursday, April 14, 2022, Charles Daniel Winfree, 48, passed away in his sleep at his home.

Funeral services will be 4:00 pm Thursday, April 21, 2022, in the Chapel of Leavitt Funeral Home with Rev. Tommy McKenzie officiating. Interment will follow in Anson Memorial Park.

The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service Thursday at the funeral home.

Daniel was born April 10, 1974 in Anson County, NC, and was a son of Charles David Winfree and the late Betty Ann Lett Winfree. He worked as a residential painter.

Those left to cherish his memory are his children, Katie Winfree and Amber Winfree both of Rockingham, and Bethany Winfree and James Winfree both of Wadesboro; his grandchildren, Oaklyn and Hazley; his father, David Winfree of Wadesboro; his sister, Sue Ashby of Lilesville; his nephews and niece, Matthew Ashby, Jr. and Emily Ashby both of Lilesville and Steven Hildreth and Shane Hildreth both of Wadesboro; his aunt and uncle, Lynn O'Neal and Paul Winfree both of Wadesboro and his cousins, Chris O'Neal and Nicole O'Neal both of Wadesboro.

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his sister, Sherry Hildreth.
