Clara Howell Marsh

Wadesboro - Mrs. Clara Howell Marsh, 87, died Sunday, October 23, 2011 in Anson Community Hospital. Funeral services will be 4:00PM Tuesday in the First United Methodist Church with Rev. Robert W. Rollins, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in Anson Memorial Park. The family will greet friends on Monday from 6:00 to 8:00PM at the funeral home. Clara was born in Anson County on January 28, 1924, a daughter of the late Charles and Blanche Simpson Howell. She worked many years, first for both Ballet Hosiery and later for Hornwood, Inc. Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Fred Ross Marsh of the home; a daughter, Martha (Tony) Brock of Charlotte; and four grandchildren, Matthew David Brock, Brian Ross Brock, Ashley Michelle Ratliff, and Kristy Leigh Ratliff. Her daughter, Mary Charles Ratliff, preceded her in death. Memorials might be made to First United Methodist Church, 118 E. Morgan St., Wadesboro, NC 28170.
