Danny Clay Hamilton

LILESVILLE - On Friday, May 1, 2026, Mr. Danny Clay Hamilton, 56, passed away peacefully at Atrium Health Anson in Wadesboro.

There will be a memorial service at 3:00 PM, Saturday, May 23, 2026 in the Chapel of Leavitt Funeral Home.

The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the funeral home.

Danny was born May 9, 1969 in Chesterfield County, SC and was a son of Brenda Gail Lambert Hamilton and the late Nelson Clay Hamilton. He worked with Richard Morrison Landscaping and also worked in construction, specifically home remodel and repairs.

He enjoyed watching sports, especially baseball and NASCAR racing. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and trips to the beach.

Danny was one of a kind and had a big heart. He would do anything for anyone. He dearly loved being Poppy to his grandchildren.

Those who are left to cherish his memory are his wife, Renee Parrish Hamilton; his mother, Brenda Hamilton; his daughters, Heather Hamilton Gardner and husband, Blake of Monroe and Jessica Hamilton of Lilesville; his grandchildren, Scarlett and Jenson; his brother, Sonnay Broadway and wife, Judy of Morven; his nephew, Micheal Broadway of Morven; his mother-in-law, Ann Parrish of Wadesboro; his beloved dogs, Bella and Ginger,  and his extended family and friends.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother, Steven Darrell Hamilton and by his paternal grandmother, Rev. Mary Hamilton.
