OBITUARY MR. DAVID RICHARD 'MONKEY' HOWARD WADESBORO - Mr. David Richard 'Monkey' Howard, 52, died Saturday, June 4, 2011 at Carolinas Medical Center Union in Monroe. There will be a visitation on Wednesday, June 8, 2011 from 6:00pm until 7:00pm at Leavitt Funeral Home. A private burial will be in Anson Memorial Park. He was born September 13, 1958 in Montgomery County, NC a son of the late James Wesley and Virginia Mae Brigman Howard. He had worked as a pipe fitter. Surviving are his daughter, Ellen Howard of Hamlet; his brother and sister-in-law, Rudy and Melissa Howard of Ansonville; his granddaughter, Destiny Howard and his nieces, Jamie and Hannah Howard. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, James Ronnie 'Goober' Howard. The family would like to thank the staff at Lillie Bennett Nursing Center for their wonderful care for him while he was resident there. The arrangements are in care of Leavitt Funeral Home.
