Elsie Dennis Crowder

           CHARLOTTE – On Saturday, October 29, 2022, Mrs. Elsie Dennis Crowder, 78, passed away peacefully at Peak Resources Care Center in Charlotte, NC.

            Services will be 3:00 PM Tuesday, November 1, 2022, in the Mausoleum Chapel of Westlawn Memorial Park in China Grove with Rev. Joe Aldrich officiating.

            The family will greet friends following the service,

            Elsie was born February 28, 1944, in Rowan County, NC, and was a daughter of the late William Robert Dennis and the late Margaret Wilkerson Dennis.

            Those left to cherish her memory are her son, J. Scott Crowder, and spouse, John Locklear of Charlotte; her granddaughters, Christina Crowder-Patriarch and husband, Bill of Clermont, FL, and Lisa Marie Crowder of Nashville, TN; her great-grandchildren and her sister and brother, Betty Reid Milam of Kannapolis and David Dennis and wife, Gayle of China Grove.

            In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Edward Crowder, her son, Dean Crowder, and her brothers and sisters, Robert Dennis, Ruby Wilkerson Strasbury, Linda Morris, Mary Anne Scercy, Donald Dennis, and Wade Dennis.

            Elsie’s family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the staff of Peak Resources in Charlotte and Hospice and Palliative Care of Charlotte for all they have done for her while she was in their care.

            In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice & Palliative Care Charlotte Region, 7845 Little Ave, Charlotte, NC 28226.
