Emma Threadgill Tyson

Ansonville - Mrs. Emma Threadgill Tyson was born June 16, 1935 in Anson County and was a daughter of the late Nello Threadgill and the late Mary Ingram Threadgill. She departed this life on Wednesday, March 4, 2020 at Atrium Health in Monroe. She attended public schools in Anson County and graduated high school and attended Barber Scotia College in Concord for 2 years. She was a beautician for many years. Emma was united in holy matrimony to Joe Artist Tyson, who preceded her in death. Left to cherish her memories are her 5 children, Ricky Tyson (Bernice) of Fresno, CA, Ronald Tyson of Wadesboro, Tony Tyson (Annette) of Marshville, Ella Hunt and Sherry Salisbury both of Ansonville; her 17 grandchildren and 42 great-grandchildren; her brother-in-law, Robert Tyson (Ada) of Ansonville and a host of other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters, James Threadgill, Nello Little, Doretha Threadgill and Mary Cason. Funeral services will be 3:00pm Sunday, March 8, 2020 at Rocky Mount AME Zion Church in Ansonville. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
