Frances Mauldin Pegram

WADESBORO - On Sunday, February 7, 2026, Mrs. Frances Mauldin Pegram, 82, passed away peacefully at Anson Health and Rehab in Wadesboro.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Thursday, February 12, 2026 in the Chapel of Leavitt Funeral Home with Mr. Ken Caulder officiating. Interment will follow in Anson Memorial Park.

The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service on Thursday at the funeral home.

Frances was born March 16, 1943 in Anson County, NC and was a daughter of the late William Armstead Mauldin and the late Margaret Elizabeth Ricketts Maulden. She was educated in the public schools of Anson County and was a homemaker.

Those who are left to cherish her memory are her son, Neal Pegram (Linda) of Morven; her close family friend, Mickey Leaird of Pageland, SC who was like a son to her; her sisters and brother, Libby Pegram and Ruby Smith both of Ansonville and William Mauldin of Lilesville; a friend, Jack Leaird of Pageland,SC and her nieces and nephews and their families.

Heartfelt appreciation is extended to the staff of Anson Health and Rehab for all they did for Frances while she was in their care and to Chris and Jay Tiffany for all the help they have extended the family and many others who were a vital part of her life.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Neal Pegram, and by her son and daughter, David Pegram and Sandra Pegram.

The family rejoices in knowing Frances is free from the cares of this world and that she has seen her Savior and been reunited with many loved ones who awaited her arrival.
