Garry Thomas Vaughn

WADESBORO - On Saturday, August 15, 2026, Mr. Garry Thomas Vaughn, 71, passed away peacefully at Autumn Care of Marshville.

Garry was born January 6, 1955 in Union County NC and was a son of the late Jerry Thomas Vaugn and the late Corline "Weasie" Phillips James. He had worked in bridge and highway construction.

Those who are left to cherish his memory are his son, Travis Elrod (Rachel) of Pinebluff; his granddaughter, Luna Elrod; his sister, Kathy Mims (Frank) of Wadesboro and his brother, Mark Vaughn of Wadesboro.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother, Jerry Todd Vaughn.

The family will have a private service at a later date.
