Gary Alan Mr. Prentiss

WADESBORO - Mr. Gary Alan Prentiss, 71, died Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at Anson Health and Rehabilitation. Gary was born October 9, 1943 in Los Angeles, CA a son of the late Warren and Erma Lewis Prentiss. He worked as a correctional officer at Brown Creek Correctional Institute and was a veteran of the United States Army. Surviving are his wife, Gloria Jones Prentiss of the home; his sons, Wayne, Adam and Dale Prentiss; his step-children, Chuck Roper, Shawn Roper and Erin Dunehew; his brothers, Ralph and Randy Prentiss; and his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Lee and Warren Prentiss. There will be a memorial service at a later date. The arrangements are in care of Leavitt Funeral Home.
