George Jackson Robinson, Jr., 72, of Chapel Hill, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on June 17, 2026, at SECU Jim and Betsy Bryan Hospice House of UNC Health in Pittsboro, North Carolina.
He was born on December 7, 1953, in Wadesboro, North Carolina, to George Jackson Robinson and Mattie Lois Marsh Robinson.
George was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his sister, Linda Mary Robinson of Hampton, Virginia; cousins; and friends.
George grew up in the Bethel Community of Anson County, and he graduated from Bowman High School.
He received an Associate’s Degree in Horticulture from North Carolina State University in 1976.
George loved plants and spent his entire career in landscape and turfgrass management and maintenance.
A Sharing of Memories will be held on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Leavitt Funeral Home in Wadesboro, North Carolina.
Burial at Anson Memorial Park will follow.
