POLKTON - On Saturday, January 28, 2023, Mr. Glenn K. Little, Jr., 74, entered into eternal rest at the W.G. (Bill) Hefner Salisbury Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Salisbury.
He was born in Anson County, NC on May 21, 1948, and was a son of the late Glenn K. Little, Sr. and the late Effie Virginia Little. He was a graduate of East Polkton High School and was retired from Teledyne Allvac in Monroe.
In 1967, Glenn was drafted into the United States Army to serve alongside fellow Americans during the Vietnam War. He served in Vietnam for 18 months with a total of 3 years in the Army.
He received the following decorations during his service; National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal with Device 60, Army Commendation Medal, Commander’s Unit Commendation Medal, Expert Badge with Rifle Bar, and Overseas Bars. Glenn was proud of his service to his country.
Those left to cherish his memory are his son and daughter-in-law, Glenn K. Little, III and Stephanie of Pageland, SC; his granddaughters, Rosaleigh McIntyre and Miriah Bennett; his sisters and brother, Sandra McLendon (Rick) of Polkton, Annie Ledbetter (Earl) of New York and Eddie Little, Sr. (Joyce) of Wadesboro and his nieces and nephews and their families, as well as, other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister and brother, Rosa Stevenson (Robert) and Nathaniel Little.
Mr. Little requested his services be private with military honors.
