Gracie Mae Mullis

Miss Gracie Mae Mullis, 70, died Monday, June 13, 2011 at Carolinas Medical Center Mercy in Charlotte. Funeral services will be 4:30pm Thursday, June 16, 2011 in the Chapel of Leavitt Funeral Home with Rev. Barry Gerald officiating. Interment will follow in Jowers Cemetery. The family will greet friends tonight (Wednesday) from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at the funeral home and other times at the home of her brother on Wall Street in Lilesville. Gracie was born April 19, 1941 in Anson County, NC a daughter of the late Zeb and Dessie Carpenter Mullis. She was retired from Supreme Knits and was a long-time member of Calvary Baptist Church. Surviving are her brothers and sisters-in-law, Barry and Val Mullis of Lilesville, Vernon and Revonda Mullis of Mt. Gilead, Charles Mullis of Greensboro, Randy and Sabrina Mullis of Peachland and Shirley Carter of Lilesville; her loving and faithful companion her dog, Sally and her nieces and nephews and their families. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Donald Mullis. Memorials may be made to Calvary Baptist Church, 1112 White Store Rd., Wadesboro, NC 28170.
