Harry Edward "Eddie" Rhinehardt

Mr. Harry Edward “Eddie” Rhinehardt, age 77, died Saturday, February 13, 2021, at his home in Lilesville, NC. A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held at 3:00PM Saturday, February 20th, at Leavitt Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Sarah Kalish officiating. The family will greet friends prior to the service starting at 1:00PM. A native of McDowell County, Eddie was born in Old Fort on August 20, 1943, a son of the late Leonidas Mayfield Rhinehardt and Jennie Mae Noblitt Rhinehardt. He was a longtime textile employee which is what brought him to Anson County. He retired from Hornwood, Inc. in October of 2019 but continued to make his home in Lilesville. Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Alice Harris Rhinehardt of the home; a daughter, Kimberly Ziady Wilbanks (Charles) of Dunn; a son, Keith Edward Rhinehardt (Amy) of Monroe; four grandchildren, Joey Ziady (Lindsey), Chase Rhinehardt, Garrett Rhinehardt, and Dalton Rhinehardt; two great-grandchildren, Emma Ziady and Joseph Ziady; and one brother, David Rhinehardt (Henry) of Travelers Rest, SC. Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church of Wadesboro, Hospice of Union and Anson County, and the Pitt Hopkins Foundation.
