WADESBORO – On Tuesday, January 20, 2026, Mr. Harvey Lee Breeden, III, 60, passed away peacefully at Atrium Health Pineville with his family at his bedside.
There will be a memorial service at 11:00 AM, Saturday, February 7, 2026, in the Chapel of Leavitt Funeral Home.
The family will greet friends following the service.
Harvey was born May 16, 1965, in Cleveland, OH and was a son of the late Harvey Lee Breeden, Jr. and the late Shirley Jones. He was employed with B. V. Hedrick in Lilesville as a crane operator.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing and listening to bluegrass and rock and roll music. He was a prankster and was always up for sharing or hearing a good joke. He also enjoyed cooking and reminiscing about time spent at his home in the mountains of West Virginia.
Those who are left to cherish his memory are his wife of nearly 33 years, Tammy Breeden; his daughter, Tiffany Breeden;his daughter-in-law, Olivia Bacon; his brothers and sisters, Tim Jones (Carol), Michelle Todd, Ken Jones, and Renee Tyler; his sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Betty Brawner, Frankie Sturcken, Tommy Sturcken, Mary Delrose, Linda Monaghan, Kelly Sturcken, and Billie Jo McKenzie and his nieces and nephews and their families.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Michael Sturcken.
Because of Harvey’s giving heart and spirit, the family suggests that memorials be made to Anson Crisis Ministry, P.O. Box 797, Wadesboro, NC 28170 which helps local citizens in need.
Harvey will be remembered as a loving and devoted husband and father and a good brother, brother-in-law and friend.
