Henry Mac Polk

Mr. Henry Mac Polk was born in Anson County, NC on June 27, 1949, and was a son of the late Willie Brown Polk and the late Estelle Bellamy Polk. He transitioned to his heavenly home on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, at Atrium Health Pineville in Charlotte, NC. He was 76 years of age.

Henry was a graduate of Bowman High School and had worked in several career areas but is most remembered for his employment with Wingate University in the maintenance department.

He really enjoyed fishing.

Those who are left to cherish his memory are his children, Henry Mac Polk, Jr., Byron Michael Moore and Catherine Scales; his grandchildren, Kamora Alyse Polk, Navee Sarae Moore, Ny’Elle Azari Moore, Na’Kiya Le’Ayr Moore and Roger Bennett; his brother and sisters, Ernest L. Polk (Dana), Sarah Burns and Annie Taylor (Melton) and is nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers and sisters, Ed Polk, Willie Polk, Lester Polk, Everlyn Hall, Candis Gaddy, Emma Gaddy and Mary Polk.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM, Thursday, May 14, 2026, in the Chapel of Leavitt Funeral Home.

The family will greet friends from 12:30 PM until 1:00 PM before the service on Thursday.
