James Mitchell Liles

Mr. James Mitchell Liles, age 78, died Monday, February 8, 2021, at his home in Rockingham, NC. A memorial service may be held at a later date as Covid-19 protocols permit. Mr. Liles was born in Anson county on June 3, 1942, a son of the late James Edwin Liles and Paege Melton Liles Hagan. He was a retired textile employee of Burlington Industries. He was dedicated member of the Cordova Baptist Church until his health failed. Mr. Liles was a quiet and loving individual, a hard worker, a wonderful husband, and had tremendous respect for everyone he knew, as did those who knew him. Survivors include his wife of almost 29 years of the home; two step-daughters, Carolyn Tucker (Danny) of Albemarle, and Connie Taylor of Rockingham; and a brother and sister, Jerry Liles and Mary L. Green (Alan) both of Lilesville.
