WADESBORO - On Friday, June 19, 2026, Ms. Jeanette Lynn Rodgers, 58, passed away peacefully at Atrium Health Pineville in Charlotte.

Funeral services will be 5:00 PM, Saturday, June 27, 2026, in the Chapel of Leavitt Funeral Home with Rev. Scott Davis officiating.

The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the funeral home.

Jeanette was born March 10, 1968, at Ft. Knox, KY and was a daughter of the late Bobby Glenn Rodgers and the late Peggy Joyce Chewning Rodgers. She attended Anson County Schools and worked in various career areas including textiles and convenience stores. She was well liked everywhere she worked because she always cracked jokes with the customers.

Those who are left to cherish her memory are her sons, Kenny Rodgers of Wadesboro and William Brian Pruitt, Jr. (Marie) of Denton; her grandchildren, Samiya Brooke Jones of Lilesville, Beth McKinney of Florida and Rachel McKinney of North Carolina; her great-grandchildren, Charlotte Rose, Lily Lynn and Ireland Rain; her sister and brother, Bonnie Rodgers Thompson (Bo) of Wadesboro and Marvin Rodgers; her nieces and nephews and their families; her best friend, Tina Honeycutt of Wadesboro and Travis Cowick who she loved like a son.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Brian Pruitt, Sr.; her grandparents, Woodrow and Edna Baker Chewning, with whom she spent many weekends in Wilmington; her sister, Connie Rodgers Little and her niece, Crystal Gail Newton.

Jeanette enjoyed endless beach trips, especially to Wrightsville Beach, chasing sunsets, listening to her favorite music, playing bingo, making canvas crafts, spending time with her granddaughter, Samiya, who was her pride and joy.

She was often referred to as “Mom” or “Aunt Net” by all of those she helped raise and loved. She was a hardworking wife and mother until her health declined.

The arrangements are in care of Leavitt Funeral Home and online condolences may be made at www.leavittfh.com
