WADESBORO - On Sunday, April 5, 2026, Miss Jennifer Lynn Norris, 35, passed away in Wadesboro.

The family will greet friends from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at Leavitt Funeral Home.

Jennifer was born April 3, 1991, in New Hanover County, NC, and was the daughter of Jimmy Leon Norris, Sr., and Lynn Norris Newton. She was employed with Terra Bella Assisted Living and Memory Care in Southern Pines.

Those who are left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Amberlyn Noel Tarlton and McKenzie Nicole River Gathings; her parents, Lynn and Matt Newton of Wadesboro and Jimmy Norris of Wallace, NC; her sister and brothers, Amanda Marie Norris of Wilmington, Travis Dwayne Carter of Calypso, Johnny Ray Brian of Mebane, and Matthew Wayne Newton, Jr. of Wadesboro; her grandfather, Zebbie Norris of Cookville, TN; and her nieces and nephews, Jayden Marie Norris, Lillyanna Grace Delacerda, Adriana Rein Trainum, Brantley Summerlin, Grason Carter, Brantley Norris, and Leah Norris.

Jennifer will be remembered for her love for her daughters, caring for and helping people, and drawing.

God, grant me the serenity

 to accept the things I cannot change 

the courage to change the things I can 

and the wisdom to know the difference.

Living one day at a time, 

enjoying one moment at a time.

Accepting hardships as the pathway to peace.

Taking, as he did, the sinful world as it is, 

not as I would have it.
