Charlotte - Mr. Jerry Todd Horne was born September 15, 1968 in Stanly County, NC and was a son of the late James Lee Horne and the late Yvonne Jeanette Thomas Horne. He departed his life on Thursday, May 28, 2020 at Atrium Health Main in Charlotte, NC. He leaves to cherish his loving memories: his wife of 24 years, Lois Thomasina Springs “Sina” Horne; his beloved dog and companion, Lady Bug; his sisters and brothers, Barbara Ann Davis, James E. (Keyonna) Horne, Crawford Lee Horne, Rayvon (Margaret) Horne, Victoria (Jesse) Horne, Rodney Ray, Sabrina (Bruce) Ingram, and Scotty (Cynthia) Horne; his nieces and nephews, Shawn (Mitchell) Young, Jalonda (Coby) Polk, Tameka Horne, Brittney Horne, Marvin Medley, Victor (Veronica) Medley, Curtis Horne, Karissa Horne, Norland Ingram, Gena Davis, Ava Horne, Jasmine Horne, Jaquavius Booker, Johntavius Booker, DeJohn Pemberton, Veronica Smith, Jayden Horne and their families; his aunts Sarah Lotharp and Katie Horne and a host of relatives and friends. Jerry was educated in the public schools of Anson County and accepted Christ at an early age and grew up in Fairview Church of God in Burnsville. He worked as a carpenter with Staff Zone where they built apartment buildings. Services will be by the graveside at Fairview Church of God Cemetery in the Burnsville Community with Rev. Donna McNair officiating. Those who wish to pay their respects, Jerry Todd will lie in repose on Tuesday, June 2, 2020 from 1:00pm until 6:00pm in the chapel of Leavitt Funeral Home. Due to COVID 19 restrictions, social distancing mandates and safety precautions will be in effect.
