Jessie Mae Bunn McCormick

Mrs. Jessie Mae Bunn McCormick, 90, died Wednesday, November 23, 2011 at Hospice of Union County in Monroe. Funeral services will be 3:00pm Friday, November 25, 2011 at Forestville United Methodist Church with Rev. Norm Jones officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service in the church fellowship hall. Jessie was born October 21, 1921 in Anson County, NC a daughter of the late Paul Samuel and Annie Rosa Taylor Bunn. She was salutatorian of Lilesville High School Class of 1939 and was a homemaker. She was a faithful member of Forestville United Methodist Church. Surviving are her children, Harvey 'Buck' (Mary) McCormick, Charlie McCormick, Linda McCormick and Jo Ann (George Teal) McCormick all of Lilesville; her sister, Lib (Bill) Lear of Wadesboro; 4 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey J. McCormick and by her brothers and sisters, Pearl, Tom, and David Bunn, Minnie Carter, Emma Taylor and Nell Brower.
