Jimmy Lester Mr. Ratliff

PEACHLAND- Mr. Jimmy Lester Ratliff, 42, died Monday, June 9, 2014. Funeral services will be 11:00am Friday, June 13, 2014 at Oakdale Baptist Church in Peachland with Rev. Tracy Hickson and Rev. Dennis Underwood officiating. The family will greet friends Thursday from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at Leavitt Funeral Home in Wadesboro. Jimmy was born in Union County on December 9, 1971, a son of the late Lester Ratliff, Jr. and Faye Underwood Ratliff Stroud. He was employed with Mechanical Advantage in Marshville as a Project Manager and was a true Harley Davidson man with a love for riding. Surviving are his wife, Renee Cooke Ratliff of the home; his daughters, Harley Renee Ratliff and Hailey Lynn Ratliff both of the home; his sisters, Sheri Edwards and husband, Michael of Chesterfield and Christie Sampson and husband, Bob of Peachland; and three nephews and two nieces. Also surviving are his mother-in-law, Jennie Cooke of Troy; father-in-law, JW Cooke of Mt. Gilead; sister-in-law, Tammy Simmons and husband, Ernest of Troy; and beloved pets, Tiley, Gizmo, Maci and Bootsie. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandchild, Amberlyn Renee Mullis; and three nephews. The arrangements are in care of Leavitt Funeral Home.
