OBITUARY JOHN BENNETT HARRIS POLKTON- John Bennett Harris, 55, passed away on Sunday, September 4, 2011. Memorial services will be 4:00pm Friday, September 9, 2011 in the Chapel of Leavitt Funeral Home with Rev. Carol Edwards officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service beginning at 3:00pm. John was born April 23, 1956 in Detroit, MI a son of the late Lee R. Harris and Barbara Bennett Harris. John was a friendly, well-liked person. He loved talking with others and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Survivors include his brother, Phillip L. Harris and wife, Jackie of Polkton; sisters, Vicki E. Harris and Barbara Ann Romanick and husband, Nick both of Michigan; nieces and nephews, Joshua Harris, Brandy Sims, Stephen Sims, Jason Harris, Brittany Harris and fianc, Jason Hough, Katie Funderburke and husband, Jamie, and Kellie Knight; great nieces, Darien Sims and Abby Taig.
