Johnelle Kendall Lear

Wadesboro - Mrs. Johnelle Kendall Lear, 87, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 23, 2021, at her home. Funeral services will be 11:00 am Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church with Rev. James Hodges officiating. Interment will follow in Anson Memorial Park. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the church. Johnelle was born July 15, 1933, in Anson County, NC, and was a daughter of the late Atlas T. Kendall and the late Katie Sellers Kendall. She was a graduate of Lilesville High School and was retired from Wadesboro Health and Rehab, having worked in the dietary department for many years. Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Gary Lear of Wadesboro, Tony Lear (Paula) of Lilesville, and Wanda Benton of Mt. Gilead; 6 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren, and her sisters-in-law, Dovie Kendall of Burlington and Sara Lear of Wadesboro. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Gaskin "Jock" Lear, and her brother, Byron Kendall. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mt.
