Johnny Daniel Sims

MARSHVILLE - Mr. Johnny Daniel Sims, 48, passed away Tuesday, October 26, 2021 at Atrium Health Union in Monroe.

There will be a memorial service at 3:00pm Friday, October 29, 2021 in the Chapel of Leavitt Funeral Home.

The family will greet friends following the service on Friday.

Johnny was born December 29, 1972 in Union County, NC and was a son of the late Danny Harvey Sims and the late Geraldine Helms Sims Griffin.

Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Betty Jo Goodwin Sims; his children, Jeremy Sims (Sierra Deese) of Lilesville and Johnny Lee Sims of Marshville; his step-daughter, Katisha Ann Oxendine of Rockingham; his grandchildren, Keya Sistar of Lilesville and Keelee Edwards of Rockingham; his sisters, Kathy Smith of Marshville and Patricia Brookhart of Ft. Bragg; his step-father, Tommy Griffin of Marshville and his aunts and uncle, Shirley Griffin, Carolyn Philman and Clarence Helms all of Marshville.
