Johnsie Meeks Hill

Tampa, FL - Mrs. Johnsie Meeks Hill, 95, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at Carrollwood Care Center in Tampa. Funeral services will be 4:00pm Monday, September 24, 2018 in the Chapel of Leavitt Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Anson Memorial Park. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service on Monday. Johnsie was born in Wadesboro, NC on February 15, 1923 and was a daughter of the late John Wesley Meeks and the late Berta Tarlton Meeks. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Rebecca Hill Given and John of Tampa, FL; her sister, Mildred Honaker of Sarasota, FL and many other relatives and nieces and nephews from both the Meeks and Hill families. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Glenn Hill and her brothers and sisters, J.W. Meeks, Harry Meeks, Polly Gaddy and Shirley Jean Holston.
