Judy Smith Henry

LILESVILLE - On Friday, January 23, 2026, Mrs. Judy Smith Henry, 83, passed away peacefully at her home.

Judy was born in Anson County, NC on September 24, 1942 and was a daughter of the late Grover Smith and the late Kathleen Bunn Smith. She was a 1960 graduate of Wadesboro High School.

She was retired from Anson County Schools, having worked for 30 plus years in data management at Anson Middle School. 

Judy was a faithful member of Cathedral Baptist Church where she taught children's Sunday school and played the piano.

Those who are left to cherish her memory are her sons, Robbie Henry (Susan) and Randy Henry (Deborah) both of Lilesville; her grandchildren, Jamie Henry (Amanda), Kristie Goodwin (Travis), Abby Young (Lucas), and Jake Henry (Amelia) all of Lilesville; and her great-grandchildren, Gretchen Henry, Gracelyn Henry, Landis Goodwin, Payon Goodwin, Drew Young, Connor Young, Ellie Henry and Hunter Henry.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Raymond Henry and by her brother, Grover Smith.

Judy will be remembered for her love for her family and church family. She was always willing to help someone in need and often shared encouraging words with others.  Her selfless love and devotion to her Lord and her family will live on in the lives she touched.
