The obituary for Mrs. Clark is shared as a courtesy to the Tarlton family as they have been long time residents on Anson County. Katherine Tarlton Clark, 89, of Jefferson, SC went home to be with her heavenly father while surrounded by her loving family on the evening of November 27, 2019. Katherine Tarlton Clark was born on October 21, 1930 to William and Susie Cornelia Newton Tarlton of Wadesboro, NC. Katherine Clark was a devoted member of her community for nearly 50 years. She enjoyed teaching Sunday school, singing in the choir and serving as an elder at Rocky Creek Presbyterian Church. She was an active member of the Red Hats, Woodmen of the World, SC Federation of the Blind and Eastern Star. Katherine lived a full life filled with love and laughter from her family. Katherine was known for her zest for life, love of traveling and fashion. She will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Katherine was predeceased by her daughter, Cynthia Plyler and husbands, Earl Thomas, Roy Curlee, and Esley Clark; four brothers and two sisters. She is survived by her loving children, Dennis (Debbie) Thomas, Dale (Sue) Thomas and Dean (Patti) Thomas. She also leaves behind her nine grandchildren, Candace (Doug) Eubanks, Jamie (Kimberly) Thomas, Kyle (Lora) Thomas, Kayla (Chris) Pope, Nicholas (Leah) Horton, Crystal (Wes) Haltiwanger, Kathy (Charlie) Ramsey, Allen Thomas and Jamie Brosious and thirteen precious great grandchildren whom she adored. A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held on Monday, December 2, 2019 at 2:00 PM at First Baptist Church of Pageland with Dr. Joel Dale, Pastor Sue Black and Pastor Farrar Griggs officiating. The burial will follow at Rocky Creek Presbyterian Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday, December 2, 2019 from 12:00 PM - 1:45 PM at First Baptist Church of Pageland in the Fellowship Hall. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Katherine's name to the Rocky Creek Presbyterian C/O Building Fund, 1357 Johnson Road, Jefferson, SC 29718. Baumgartner Funeral Home of Pageland, South Carolina (www.baumgartnerfh.com) is assisting the Clark family.
