LILESVILLE - On Wednesday, June 28, 2023, Mrs. Kristin Glenn Faulkner, 42, went to be with her Lord and Savior following a courageous battle with cancer. Her family rejoices in knowing she has been healed and given a new body, as promised by her Lord.
There will be a memorial service at 11:00 AM, Saturday, July 1, 2023, in the Chapel of Leavitt Funeral Home in Wadesboro.
The family will greet friends from 5:30 PM until 7:30 PM on Friday, June 30, 2023, at the funeral home.
Friends may visit the family at either the home of her parents in Ansonville or the home of her father-in-law and mother-in-law in Lilesville.
Kristin was born December 3, 1980, in Cleveland County, NC, and was the oldest daughter of Rev. Jeffrey Glenn and Kimberly Homesley Glenn. She was a graduate of Bessemer City High School in 1999.
She was a faithful member of Ansonville Baptist Church, where she sang in the choir, taught Sunday school, served as Assistant Vacation Bible School Director, and dedicated ambassador for Christ and the church.
Kristin enjoyed photography and the importance of pictures. She loved sharing her family's story in pictures through her Facebook posts, as well as, her journey of faith while fighting cancer.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 9 years, Jason Faulkner, and their sons, James (7) and Joshua (5); her parents, Jeff and Kim Glenn of Ansonville; her sisters and brother-in-law, Carey and Dustin Marsh and Meredith Glenn all of Ansonville; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Shelton and Charity Faulkner of Lilesville; her sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Lauren and Eric Howell of Lilesville; her nieces and nephews, Olivia Marsh, Westin Marsh, Bryson Howell, and Ava Howell; her aunts and uncle, Dale Glenn of Bessemer City and Rocky and Vicki Homesley of Cherryville.
Kristin's family is most grateful for the outpouring of love and support shown during her journey, not only for her but for them as well. The many gestures of kindness will never be forgotten. A very special thank you to the staff of Levine Cancer Center in Albemarle, Atrium Health, and Hospice of Union County.
Because of the way they served Kristin and her family, it is suggested that memorials be made to Levine Cancer Center, 945 North 5th St., Albemarle, NC 28001, to further their ability to assist other patients and families who are in their care.
The arrangements are in care of Leavitt Funeral Home and online condolences may be made at www.leavittfh.com
